Filler Treatments in NYC

Belotero Treatment

Created by Merz Aesthetic, Belotero differs from other popular dermal fillers available on the market due to its thinner and lighter composition. Belotero represents the result of the Cohesive Polydensified Matrix technology, an innovation that ensures the much higher fluidity of the injected substance. Unlike other fillers that could raise the skin’s layers and produce clumps, Belotero can be distributed more evenly between the problematic areas of the skin. Belotero is the perfect filler for under the eyes, or the “tear trough” area. It is also a wonderful filler for very superficial wrinkles.

A common substance found in young skin, hyaluronic acid  is responsible for supporting the structure of the skin, maintaining it smooth and supple. As we grow old, the amount of hyaluronic acid  – along with collagen and elastin – diminishes, thus leaving the skin prone to wrinkles and lines.

What Makes Belotero Unique?

You might argue that HA-based dermal fillers that are injected in the superficial layers of skin are not very effective and provide short-term results exclusively. Moreover, there’s always the risk of experiencing unpleasant side effects, such as the classical blue spot at the injection site associated with the aforementioned procedure. However, thanks to its thinner composition, Belotero can be administered closer to the skin’s upper surface without any of the above-mentioned issues. In addition, because Belotero spreads consistently under the skin, Dr. Gerstman will utilize a smaller quantity, hence eliminating the possibility of developing bumps and lines immediately after the treatment.

Belotero can be safely used with Botox. Since the innovative hyaluronic acid can be injected into the upper layer of the skin, it also means that Dr. Gerstman can control the amount of Botox needed to relax the facial muscles.

Juvederm Treatment

Lift, plump, smooth – and enjoy natural-looking results that last with Juvederm at our NYC medical spa.

Juvederm is a filler or sterile gel developed using the Hylacross technology to allow for a smoother, malleable gel. The gel is made of hyaluronic acid. The word “acid” may sound intimidating, but hyaluronic acid is not harsh or damaging at all. In fact, it’s the exact opposite. Hyaluronic acid is a natural sugar found in the skin. It works by holding in water at the injection site, acting as a cushioning agent. Since the acid in Juvederm is developed through biosynthesis, you don’t need to take an allergy test prior to the FDA-approved treatment. They do not contain animal or human DNA, and have the best safety profile compared to other fillers. Each product in our NYC Juvederm collection adds lifts, plumps, and smoothens different areas of the face, including the cheeks, lips, and parenthesis lines.

Juvederm provides six to twelve months of correction for moderate wrinkles, such nasolabial folds, marionette lines,  lip enhancement, and non-surgical rhinoplasty. Juvederm Voluma provides up to 24 months of correction.

Juvederm Voluma Treatment

Nowadays, reducing wrinkles and lines, and obtaining a younger look can be done with a wide variety of innovative dermal fillers. However, the problem with most facial fillers is that they only target wrinkles and creases, but not the loss of volume. If you’re looking to add some volume in the checks, then it’s time you learned more about the newest member of the Juvederm family – Voluma.

Voluma Reverses Aging More Effectively.

Voluma is the first facial filler that takes on the more complex issue of aging: the loss of volume. More often than not, the vast majority of dermal fillers available on the market are designed as a one-dimensional solution for correcting aging signs. Although efficient, they mostly act at the surface of the skin and hence, are unable to do more than smoothen out wrinkles and creases.

Voluma is currently the only filler of its kind approved by the FDA for cheek enhancement. What makes Voluma stand out is its active ingredient, hyaluronic acid. Incorporating low and high molecular weight hyaluronic acid, Voluma can be considered a true multi-dimensional solution for facial rejuvenation.

The Advantages of Juvederm Voluma?

In addition to safety, Voluma also provides immediate, longer lasting results. A treatment with  Voluma can last up to two years. No other dermal filler on the market can match the longevity of Voluma without a need for additional sessions. The main reason why Voluma provides such results comes from its composition. Not only does the VYCROSS technology mange to create a thicker filler, but the high-viscosity and molecular structure of the solution are both maintained when injected deeply into the skin. What this means is that Voluma has a higher ability of cross-linking and hence:

  • It has a higher resistance to degradation due to free radicals
  • It is easier to inject with minimum discomfort
  • The results obtained can be predictable and reversed if necessary
  • It provides an optimal, natural-looking lift of the facial contours
  • Voluma is the ideal cheek or jawline filler.
